Data backup and purging

Data backup and data purging are two important practices for managing your account information securely. While data backup helps you preserve important campaign records for future use, data purging ensures that unnecessary or sensitive data is permanently removed to protect privacy and reduce risks.

Data backup for accounts is an important practice to ensure the safety and security of your personal or business information. At CallHub, we take data privacy very seriously. Read our privacy and terms of use here.

If you have completed your campaigns and are looking to delete/disable your account from CallHub, we advise you to take a backup of all the important data from your account. We advise this as data, once deleted, cannot be retrieved from any sources.

We do not keep a backup of your information to ensure your data is safe from any breaches, unauthorized access, and compliance violations. 

When we talk about data, we mean campaign results, contact lists, DNC lists, and reports. Below are the steps you need to ensure before the deletion of an account on CallHub. These steps are explicitly defined for backing up and exporting data from your account.

Contact Lists

• Go to Contacts > Contact List
• Select the list → Contacts → Export Contact List
• Repeat for each list you want to back up

Call or SMS reports

• Go to Analytics > Reports

• Select View Report → Calls or Texts
• Choose date range + campaign → Search → Export

• For voice campaigns, choose Voice Broadcast
• For call campaigns, choose Call Center Campaign
• Leave filters blank if you want a consolidated report

Campaign Results -

Campaign Results gives you a report of the survey questions answered and the notes saved on the call, along with the other details such as the duration of the call, the agent that handled the call, the call disposition, and so on. 

• Go to Campaigns > Choose a Campaign > Results
• Apply filters if needed → Export Results

Note: Campaign Results must be downloaded individually for each campaign

DNC Lists - 

To download the DNC lists from your account, you need to navigate to Contacts > DNC List > Export DNC. If you have chosen a specific list, only the selected list will be exported. If no list is selected in the filter, the complete DNC list will be exported.

By implementing both data backup and data purging processes, you can ensure that your critical data is backed up and available for recovery when needed while unnecessary or sensitive data is securely purged to mitigate risks and maintain compliance with privacy regulations.
