Want to call and text your Salesforce leads and contacts without exporting a single CSV? Connect Salesforce to CallHub once, and you can import your Salesforce Campaign members or the results of a saved Salesforce Report as CallHub contact lists, then have every call and text logged back to the record in Salesforce. This article is for campaign managers whose team works in Salesforce.
If Salesforce is your system of record, connecting it to CallHub means:
You skip manual list uploads. Salesforce Campaign members and Report results import directly as CallHub contact lists, with Leads and Contacts mapped separately.
You reuse the lists you already built. If your team already has a Contact report or Lead report in Salesforce, import it as it is. You don't need to rebuild it as a Campaign first.
You keep one record of every conversation. Call outcomes, notes, and messages sync back to Salesforce, so nobody checking a lead there misses what your agents did.
You stay in control of your lists. You can keep imported lists refreshed automatically and honor Do Not Call and Do Not Text flags at import. For a Report, CallHub also re-syncs it once a day, so contacts and leads that newly match the Report join your list without another import. See Keep Salesforce contact lists up to date and honor opt-outs.
Before you start
- You need a Salesforce account with the Standard User or System Administrator role.
- To import a Campaign, create a Campaign in Salesforce and add the leads or contacts you want to reach as members.
- To import a Report, have a saved Contact report or Lead report in your Salesforce account.
- You need a CallHub account with permission to manage integrations.
- Connecting, mapping fields, and importing your first Campaign or Report takes about 10 minutes.
⚠ One Salesforce account can connect to only 5 CallHub accounts. If you connect a sixth, the existing connections are disconnected. Why: Salesforce enforces this limit per account, and it sends a notification email each time a new CallHub account connects, so watch for unexpected ones.
ⓘ CallHub imports Contact reports and Lead reports only. Other Salesforce report types aren't supported.
Connect your Salesforce account
- In your CallHub account, go to Integrations.
- In the Salesforce section, click Connect.
-
In the popup window, log in with your Salesforce ID and password to authorize CallHub. Log in through the popup and the two accounts are linked.
Map your fields
- Map the CallHub contact fields to your Salesforce fields. You map fields for Leads and Contacts separately.
-
Set your preference for importing Do Not Call (DNC) contacts, if you want Salesforce flags respected at import. Leads and Contacts each get their own mapping.
Import a Salesforce Campaign or Report
Campaigns and Reports appear in the same list, so the steps are the same for both.
- Go to the Import tab in the Salesforce integration. CallHub shows how many Campaigns and how many Reports are available.
- Click the text box and select the Salesforce Campaign or Report you want to import.
- (Optional) Tick the Auto-Sync checkbox to keep this list refreshed automatically. See Keep Salesforce contact lists up to date and honor opt-outs for how it works.
-
Click Import.
What a Report import does
Importing a Report works exactly like importing a Campaign:
- Do Not Call and Do Not Text handling works the same way.
- Household logic works the same way.
- Updating contacts and leads works the same way.
- Sync back to Salesforce works the same way, including tags, surveys, and edits to contacts and leads.
Notes & limits
ⓘ Contacts must be members of the Salesforce Campaign you select, or match the Report you select, to import. If a lead or contact is missing in CallHub, check that they were added to the Campaign, or that they match the Report's filters, in Salesforce.
ⓘ Auto-Sync on a Report detects when a contact is updated or deleted. It can't detect that a record now matches the Report, for example after you change the Report's filters or new records meet its criteria. To catch these, CallHub re-syncs each imported Report once a day, so newly matching contacts and leads are pulled in at the end of the day.
ⓘ If you connected Salesforce before the most recent integration updates, disconnect and reconnect the integration so the changes take effect.
✓ Tick Auto-Sync at import time for any list you'll use over several days. You won't need to press Import again after every Salesforce update.
FAQs
Who can connect Salesforce to CallHub?
Anyone with a Salesforce account that has the Standard User or System Administrator role.
Can I import Leads and Contacts?
Yes. You map fields for each separately. Both import from a Salesforce Campaign, and from a Contact report or Lead report.
Which Salesforce Reports can I import?
Contact reports and Lead reports. Other report types aren't supported.
Why is a lead or contact missing from my imported list?
Only members of the Campaign you selected, or records that match the Report you selected, are imported. Add the missing person to the Campaign, or adjust the Report in Salesforce, then import again or wait for Auto-Sync. For a Report, newly matching records arrive with the daily re-sync.
Why didn't my Report import?
Open Contact Import Activity. CallHub shows the reason a Report couldn't be imported there.
Can I connect more than one CallHub account to the same Salesforce account?
Yes, up to 5. Connecting a sixth disconnects the existing connections.
