Want every call and text your team makes to show up on the lead or contact's Salesforce record automatically? Once your Salesforce integration is connected, CallHub syncs call outcomes, messages, notes, and tags back to Salesforce for Call Center, Text Broadcast, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Texting, and Voice Broadcast campaigns. This article is for campaign managers running these campaigns on a connected Salesforce account.
Why sync your campaigns with Salesforce
If your team lives in Salesforce, any outreach data left behind in CallHub is invisible to them. Syncing your campaigns means:
You keep complete records. Call dispositions, notes, and messages land in the record's Activity History.
You avoid duplicate outreach. Anyone checking a lead in Salesforce sees who already called or texted them.
You segment on outreach results. Tags applied from calls and texts help you build follow-up lists in Salesforce.
Before you start
- Connect Salesforce to CallHub and import your contacts first.
- You need a CallHub account with permission to create campaigns.
- Setting up the sync options takes about 5 minutes per campaign. Data syncs as agents save calls and as messages are sent and received.
ⓘ Tags synced from CallHub display only in the Salesforce Classic interface. Dispositions, notes, and messages appear in the record's Activity History in both interfaces.
Sync a Call Center campaign
- While creating the Call Center campaign, open the Script section.
-
Click the Tags available to agents box and choose the tags agents can apply during calls. These are the tags agents can pick from during a call.
-
During a call, the agent clicks +Tag below the contact's name, selects a tag, and clicks Save. Agents tag contacts based on the conversation.
After each saved call, CallHub syncs the agent's name, the campaign name, the time of the call, the call disposition, any notes, and the applied tags.
Sync a Text Broadcast campaign
- While creating the Text Broadcast campaign, select a Sent Tag. CallHub applies it to every contact your campaign messages.
-
Select a Received Tag. CallHub applies it to every contact who replies. One tag for messaged contacts, another for responders.
The message content, the campaign name, and the time the message was received also sync to the contact's record.
✓ Salesforce has no built-in way to group tags by sent versus received, so name your tags descriptively (for example, sept-gotv-sent and sept-gotv-replied) so you can tell them apart at a glance.
Sync a Peer-to-Peer Texting campaign
-
While setting up the initial message in the Script section, select the Salesforce Field you want to populate and click Save. CallHub writes the data into the corresponding field on the contact's Salesforce record. Data flows into the Salesforce field you pick here.
-
In the Agents section, choose the tags available to agents. When an agent picks a tag and saves the conversation, the tag is applied to the contact in Salesforce. P2P agent tags work like Call Center tags, set in the Agents section.
Sync a Voice Broadcast campaign
Voice Broadcast has no sync settings to configure. Data syncs to Salesforce only after a contact presses the transfer digit during the call.
A transfer-digit press is what creates the Salesforce entry.
Notes & limits
ⓘ Tags sync for Call Center, Text Broadcast, and P2P campaigns, but display only in Salesforce Classic. Lightning users still get dispositions, notes, and messages in Activity History.
ⓘ Voice Broadcast syncs nothing for contacts who listen without pressing the transfer digit.
FAQs
Where do I find the synced data in Salesforce?
Open the lead or contact and check Activity History. CallHub entries are under Comments. Tags appear on the record in the Classic interface.
Why can't I see my tags in Salesforce Lightning?
Synced tags display only in Salesforce Classic. Switch to Classic to see them, or rely on Activity History entries in Lightning.
What syncs from a Call Center call?
The agent's name, campaign name, call time, disposition, notes, and any tags the agent applied.
Why did my Voice Broadcast not sync anything?
Data syncs only when the contact presses the transfer digit. Calls without a transfer-digit press create no Salesforce entry.
