Dynamic Caller ID allows you to match the region (state/capital/largest city) of the person called. When people recognize the Caller ID as local, they are more likely to pick up, improving your campaign’s pickup rates.
Note: This feature is only available in the USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK. If you would like to use Dynamic Caller ID, please email us at support@callhub.io with your request.
Using Dynamic Caller ID in Campaigns
-
You can use Dynamic Caller ID in both Voice Broadcast and Call Center campaigns.
-
On the Settings tab, you’ll find the option to configure Dynamic Caller ID.
-
If it’s your first time, select “Automatically Rent a Block” and continue setting up your campaign.
Enabling Dynamic Caller ID for a Call Center campaign
Once the campaign is set up, you’ll see the Dynamic Caller ID block in the campaign Settings.
Algorithm for Renting Numbers
When your campaign starts, CallHub analyzes the contact list and rents a unique number from each state.
The renting follows this order:
-
Check state capital → rent a number if available.
-
If not, check the largest city in the state.
-
If not, check any city in the state.
The rented numbers are stored under Numbers → Dynamic Caller ID in your CallHub account. Clicking on the Dynamic Caller ID block will show you the list of rented numbers.
When you click on the name of the Dynamic Caller ID you can find the list of numbers that were rented for the block.
Running Campaigns with Dynamic Caller IDs
-
Once Caller IDs are rented, Dynamic Caller IDs are used automatically for campaign calls.
-
Since people recognize the number as local, you’ll see higher pickup rates and better transfer rates.
Note: If CallHub cannot rent a number for a state, the system will fall back to the general Caller ID field for making calls.
Setting up a Transfer Number for Incoming Calls
If contacts miss your call, they can call back on the Dynamic Caller ID.
-
You can set a Transfer Number for the block.
-
All incoming calls to the Dynamic Caller IDs will be forwarded to this Transfer Number.
Reusing a Dynamic Caller ID Block
Once you’ve created a Dynamic Caller ID block, you can reuse it for other campaigns.
-
While creating a new campaign, select “Use an Existing Block”.
-
This applies to both Voice Broadcast and Call Center campaigns.
