Want to measure how your P2P texting campaign performed? This article shows you how to view campaign results, filter them, pull message-level Text reports, and export everything as a CSV.
Before you start
- You need a Peer-to-Peer Texting campaign that has already sent messages. Results appear as the campaign runs, so you don't have to wait for it to finish.
- You'll use two places for reports:
- The campaign's Results tab, for conversation and survey results.
- Reports > All Reports > Text Reports, for message-level details like cost, status, and error codes.
View campaign results in the Results tab
- Open your P2P campaign and go to the Results tab.
- Filter the results if needed. You can filter by date range, agent name, tag, or a survey question asked during the conversation.
- Review the results table. Each row shows the contact's name, phone number, the agent, the date and time of the last message, the total messages exchanged, and survey results.
- Click See details >> on any row to open the full conversation view. The notes section shows contact details, survey questions, responses, and notes from the conversation.
ⓘ Filtering by question only works for multi-choice questions. Open-ended responses can't be used as a filter.
Export results or create a contact list
Once the results load, you can act on them in two ways:
- To download a CSV, click the Export Results drop-down and select All Results. The export includes the campaign name, the contact's first and last name, email, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, agent, date and time of the last message, message count, the full conversation between the agent and the contact, custom fields, and every question asked with its answer.
- To save contacts as a new list, click the Create contact list drop-down and select Filtered results. This is useful when you want to run a follow-up campaign for just those contacts.
Pull message-level details from Text reports
- Go to Reports > All Reports > Text Reports.
- Select a time range.
- Select your campaign name from the dropdown.
- Click Search to generate the report.
The report shows one row per message with these columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Send Date | Date and time the message was sent |
| Sender | The Caller ID that sent the message |
| Recipient | The contact's phone number |
| Agent | The agent on the conversation |
| Direction | Outbound or inbound |
| Cost | Cost of sending the message |
| Status | Delivery status of the message. See CallHub Texting Message Statuses |
| Status MSG | Number of segments in the message. See Message Length and Segments |
| Error Code | Error code returned by the carrier, if any. See SMS Error Codes |
| Type | SMS or MMS |
You can export these results as a CSV or create a contact list from the filtered results. The Text report export includes the account's email address, Caller ID, contact's phone number, agent, date and time of the message, the message's unique ID, status, segment count, direction, cost, and error code.
FAQs
What's the difference between the Results tab and Text reports?
The Results tab shows conversation-level results: one row per contact, with survey answers and notes. Text reports show message-level results: one row per message, with cost, segments, status, and error codes.
Can I re-run a campaign for only the contacts who responded a certain way?
Yes. Filter the Results tab by the survey question, then click the Create contact list drop-down and select Filtered results. You can use that list in a new campaign.
