Send images, GIFs, or videos to your whole contact list in one go. This guide is for campaign managers who want to send a bulk multimedia message from CallHub.
Why use an MMS broadcast
An MMS carries media along with text, so your message stands out in a crowded inbox and gets more attention than plain text. MMS also gives you more room to work with, up to 1,600 characters versus 160 for a single SMS. Use it when a flyer, event photo, or short video will say more than words alone. If you only need text, an SMS broadcast is cheaper and simpler.
Before you start
- You need a CallHub account with a contact list already imported.
- Have your media file ready. Images (JPG, PNG, GIF) and videos (MP4, 3GP, MOV) are supported.
⚠ WARNING: MMS broadcasts are only supported for US and Canada numbers. Messages to numbers outside these countries will not deliver, so keep your contact list to US and Canada contacts.
⚠ WARNING: Send only to contacts who have opted in to receive texts from you. Messaging people without consent can violate consent laws and gets your messages blocked by carriers.
Steps
Upload your media
- In your CallHub dashboard, go to the Media section.
- Click Upload and select the file you want to send from your device.

- Enter a campaign name.
- Select the contact list that should receive the message.

- Optionally, type a text message to send along with the media. Keep it short and clear.
Schedule and start
8. Select the start and finish dates, operational days, and operational hours for the campaign.
9. Click Start Campaign to send it out.
Notes & limits
ⓘ NOTE: Large files are compressed automatically during upload: videos are shortened to about 30 seconds and other files are reduced to about 1 MB, which can lower image or video quality. Upload a compressed, optimized file yourself for the best result.
✓ TIP: Use clear images and short videos, and keep your text brief. Carriers may filter messages that look spammy, so avoid all-caps, excessive links, and misleading content.
FAQs
Can I send an MMS without any text?
Yes. The text message is optional; you can send the media file on its own.
What happens if my file is too large?
CallHub compresses it automatically during upload so it can be delivered, but quality may drop. Resize or compress the file before uploading if quality matters.
Why didn't some contacts receive my MMS?
MMS delivery only works for US and Canada numbers, and some carriers filter messages they consider spammy.
Can I retry messages that failed?
Yes. Set Max Retries and Time Between Retries in the campaign settings, and CallHub retries failed or unsent messages automatically.
