Want your teammates to help run campaigns from your CallHub account? User roles let a co-user log in to the same account with their own credentials. This guide explains the two roles: Sub-Admin and Collaborator, and walks you through inviting a teammate.
Before you start
- Only the primary admin and Sub-Admins can invite other Sub-Admins or Collaborators.
- You'll need the invitee's email address. They'll receive an email invitation to complete their setup.
Choose the right role
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Sub-Admin | Everything the admin can do - create and manage campaigns, manage credits, view reports, and add or delete rented numbers, among other tasks. |
| Collaborator | Access all campaign features. Payments remain admin-only. |
To see what the dashboard looks like for a Collaborator, see Collaborator View for CallHub accounts.
Invite a user
- Log in to your CallHub account and click your username in the top-right corner to open the Profile area.
- Click User Roles.
- Click Invite.
- Enter the invitee's details and choose their role from the dropdown: Sub-Admin for complete access or Collaborator for partial access.
- Send the invitation.
Here's a quick video walkthrough of the invite flow:
You'll know it worked when the invitee appears in your User Roles list with a pending invitation.
What the invitee does next
- The invitee receives a validation link at their email address. They click the link to open the signup page.
- They fill in their account details and click SIGN UP.
- They verify their phone number when prompted.
Once verification is complete, their Sub-Admin or Collaborator account is ready, and they can log in to your account with their own credentials.
FAQs
Can I change a user's role after inviting them?
No. The role is locked once the invitation is sent. To switch someone's role, you'd need to remove them and send a new invitation with the correct role.
Who can manage payments?
Only the admin. Collaborators can work with all campaign features but can't access payments.
Is this the same as adding a sub-account?
No, sub-accounts are separate accounts, while user roles give a teammate access to your account. The invitation flow works similarly (via email), but they serve different purposes.
