To begin importing contacts from ActBlue into CallHub, you first need to create secure API credentials in your ActBlue account. Log in to your ActBlue Dashboard, navigate to Admin, and then go to API Credentials. Here, ActBlue lets you generate a Client UUID and Client Secret, which serve as secure keys that allow CallHub to connect to your ActBlue data securely.
Once you’ve generated these credentials, head over to your CallHub dashboard and create a new Contact Import connection under the ActBlue integration. When prompted, enter the Client UUID and Client Secret exactly as provided by ActBlue.
CallHub will then validate these credentials to ensure the connection is secure and authorized. After successful validation, the integration becomes active, meaning CallHub is now ready to pull contact data directly from your ActBlue account without any manual file uploads.
After the integration is set up, you can start importing contacts from ActBlue into CallHub. Begin by selecting the ActBlue connection you just created and providing a name for the contact list you want to create in CallHub. This helps you easily identify and manage the imported contacts later.
Next, choose the data range to import by selecting a start date and an end date. This allows you to control exactly which contributions or records are included, whether you’re importing recent activity or historical data.
You will then select the CSV type, which determines the kind of contribution data you want to import. Available options include paid contributions, refunded contributions, cancelled recurring contributions, and managed form contributions. This step ensures that only the relevant donor or supporter data is pulled into CallHub based on your campaign needs.
Once these selections are made, CallHub automatically imports the contacts using the field mappings you’ve configured, ensuring that names, phone numbers, emails, and other details are placed into the correct fields.
After the import is complete, you’ll receive an import summary showing how many contacts were added successfully and whether any records were skipped or failed. This gives you clear visibility into the import results before using the list for outreach campaigns.
