Users rely on CRMs to track their contacts' activities and integrate various platforms to manage outreach strategies. Often, they run multiple simultaneous outreach efforts, such as calling campaigns through CallHub alongside door-knocking campaigns or other non-CallHub activities. For instance, if a contact is reached through door-knocking and the necessary information is collected, the user would prefer not to contact the same person again during the current calling campaign.
However, there is no automated way to remove these contacts from a specific campaign based on CRM-recorded activities, nor is there a manual option to remove contacts from campaigns within CallHub. As a workaround, users sometimes add these contacts to the Do Not Call (DNC) list, but this is problematic because it blocks future communication with these individuals rather than just removing them from the current campaign.
A suppression list enables users to exclude contacts from specific campaigns in CallHub based on activities logged in their CRM or other engagement platforms. This will prevent redundant outreach efforts and allow for more efficient, targeted campaign management.
How to use Suppression Lists directly using a CSV file?
Currently, we have rolled out Suppression List in Phase 1, where you as an admin can use it by importing a list into CallHub and using it as a Suppression List or by importing the list from Salesforce integration.
To import a Suppression list into your CallHub account, you need to navigate to Contacts > Suppression Lists > Import Suppression List.
Next, you need to enter a name for the list, choose the CSV file, and click on Save to import it into your account.
Once the list is imported into the account, you will be able to view the list and the contacts added to them by clicking on the list's name. Next, after setting up the Call Center campaign, you need to navigate to Campaigns > Choose the Call Center campaign > Settings > Enable Contacts Suppression.
In the editor, you need to choose the name of the list whose contacts you wish to suppress while making calls in the campaign. The number of contacts that were Suppressed will be available in the "Contacts Suppressed" section under the Overview Statistics of the campaign.
