Importing contact lists from PDI to CallHub

Want to bring a PDI list into CallHub so you can call or text it? Here's how to send a list from PDI and pull it into your CallHub contact lists. This article is for campaign managers who've already connected PDI to CallHub.

Before you start

• Connect PDI to CallHub first. You can't import a list without the integration connected.
• To send a Voter Universe list, your PDI account needs the PDI Unlimited Use Subscription plan, plus CallHub vendor access granted by PDI Support. People Universe lists have no such requirement.
• Processing time in CallHub depends on the size of the file.

Export the list from PDI

1. In PDI, go to Universe > Process Lists & File.
2. Enter a name for the list.
3. Under Choose your list or file, select Export Third Party Services.
4. Under Vendor, select CallHub.
5. Under File layout, select CallHub Layout.
6. Under Choose the people in your list, select the static list you want to send.

7. Set the format to CSV and click Process File. 

   

The same steps apply if you're sending a list from the People Universe.

Import the list in CallHub

8. In CallHub, open the PDI import section. If the list you just sent isn't showing yet, click Sync to fetch the latest lists from PDI.

9. Search for and select the list or lists you want. You can select more than one. [Screenshot: PDI list import screen in CallHub with a list selected 

   

10. If some contacts are missing a phone number, check Use mobile number as the phone number when the phone number is missing.

11. Click Import. 

    

Notes & limits

ⓘ Sending a Voter Universe list requires the PDI Unlimited Use Subscription plan and CallHub vendor access from PDI Support. Without both, export and import the list manually as a standard CSV instead.

ⓘ PDI caps copying contacts from the Voters Universe to My People at 2,000 contacts per copy. Name your static lists clearly, so voter data and volunteer data stay easy to tell apart.

FAQs

Can I import more than one list at a time? 
Yes. Select as many lists as you need before clicking Import; each becomes its own contact list in CallHub.

What happens to contacts with no phone number? 
Check Use mobile number as the phone number when the phone number is missing so CallHub uses the mobile field instead of skipping the contact.

I don't have the PDI Unlimited Use plan. Can I still get my Voter Universe into CallHub? 
Yes, but not through this direct export. Export the list manually from PDI and import it as a standard CSV instead.
