Want the survey answers, dispositions, and tags your agents record on a call to land on the contact's NationBuilder profile without anyone copying them over by hand? Once your nation is connected, a Call Center campaign can write all of that back to NationBuilder in real time as your agents save calls. This article is for campaign managers running a Call Center campaign on a connected NationBuilder nation.
If NationBuilder is where your organizers work, a call result that only lives in CallHub is a call result they never see. Syncing your Call Center campaign means:
You keep one supporter record. Survey answers, dispositions, and tags from every call appear on the person's NationBuilder profile alongside the rest of your organizing data.
You segment on fresh data. Tags sync to NationBuilder as calls happen, so lists you build from those tags tomorrow already reflect today's calls.
You stay compliant automatically. Opt-outs recorded during a call update the contact's status in NationBuilder without anyone touching a record.
Before you start
- Connect NationBuilder to CallHub and import the contact list you plan to call. Campaign-level sync will not work without the connection.
- You need a CallHub account with permission to create campaigns.
- Adding NationBuilder fields while creating the campaign takes about 5 minutes. Results sync to NationBuilder in real time as agents save calls.
⚠ Data flows back to NationBuilder only if you select a Contact type in the campaign's Settings tab. If you skip it, your agents' work is not written to NationBuilder, and there is no way to sync it retroactively. Set it before you launch.
Set up the sync
- On the CallHub Dashboard, click Create under the Call Center section. For the full campaign flow, see Set up a Call Center campaign.
-
In the Script tab, click Surveys under the NationBuilder section and choose the survey you want agents to use on calls. Pick the NationBuilder survey to embed in your agents' script.
-
In the dispositions section, add NationBuilder tags to your call dispositions. When an agent picks a disposition, its tags sync to the contact in NationBuilder. Tags mapped to dispositions sync back with every saved call.
-
In the Settings tab, select the Contact type to enable logging in NationBuilder.
- Optionally, choose the tags available to agents so they can tag contacts during a call to log extra information. Contact type is what switches on the sync; agent tags are optional.
- Complete the rest of the campaign setup and click Finish.
- Below is how a contact profile looks like when data syncs back.
Notes and limits
⚠ No Contact type, no sync. It must be set in the Settings tab before launch, and a campaign that skips it cannot sync its data later.
ⓘ Surveys must be attached to a NationBuilder page (an unlisted page works) before they appear in CallHub. If a survey is missing from the Script tab, see the FAQ in Connect NationBuilder to CallHub.
✓ Click Sync now on the Integrations page before you build the campaign, so the newest surveys and tags from your nation are available to select.
FAQs
Why isn't my call data appearing in NationBuilder?
The most common cause is a missing Contact type in the campaign's Settings tab. It must be selected before the campaign runs for any data to flow back.
Where do I see the synced survey answers in NationBuilder?
On the contact's profile. Go to People, select the contact, and open their Dashboard to see survey responses, dispositions, and tags from the call.
How fast does the data sync?
Real time. Data is written to NationBuilder as soon as an agent saves a call.
