Segments are sub-groups of contacts created from your main contact list based on specific rules or conditions. Using segments, you will be sending messages only to the right audience, instead of blasting the same text to everyone.
How Segments Work
Segments are created using filters such as:
Contact Fields (both default and custom fields)
Contact tags
Contact List
Once a segment is defined, only the contacts that meet its conditions are included in the campaign associated with it.
Segment Creation
CallHub supports only one segment per campaign. However, the same segment can be reused across multiple campaigns without having to recreate it.
Segments are created using contact fields, tags, or contact lists, combined with conditions. Segment creation is supported both from the Segments section and directly from All Contacts.
Conditions Logic
You can apply conditions using AND or OR logic. Mixed combinations of AND and OR within the same segment are not supported.
Groups Support
Segments support Groups, allowing you to organize and manage contacts within a segment more effectively.
Contact Lists in Segments
If a contact list is used in a segment, it cannot be deleted. However, tags and custom fields used in a segment can be deleted.
Contacts can be deleted even if they are part of a segment. The segment will automatically update to reflect the change.
Managing Segments
Segments can be duplicated to create a copy and renamed for better organization. Segments cannot be edited or deleted once created. To make changes, duplicate the segment and create a new one with updated conditions.
Export and Reuse
You can export the contact data matched in a segment or create a new contact list from the segment’s matched contacts.
Campaign Usage
Segments can be used in Text Broadcast, Voice Broadcast, Call Center and Peer-to-Peer texting campaigns.
