Want your texting campaigns connected to your donor records, so every donation shows up on the donor's contact profile? Connect Raiser's Edge NXT to CallHub once, map your fields, and CallHub brings in constituent and gift details automatically. This article is for fundraising and campaign managers who use Raiser's Edge NXT.
Raiser's Edge NXT is Blackbaud's cloud-based fundraising and constituent relationship management (CRM) platform for nonprofits, foundations, and educational institutions. It is the next-generation version of Blackbaud's legacy Raiser's Edge CRM, and it covers donor management, campaign and appeal management, major gift prospecting, reporting and analytics, and mobile and cloud access.
Connecting it to CallHub means:
You connect outreach and fundraising. Your texting campaigns work alongside your donor management and fundraising activities, so you can run more effective, data-driven campaigns and get more from your fundraising.
You see donations on the contact profile. When a donation arrives, CallHub captures the donor's details and the gift details and shows them on the contact's profile.
You avoid manual data handling. Constituent IDs and gift data come over automatically, and CallHub can create a contact for a donor it does not recognize.
You get a record of your outreach. Calls, texts, and survey responses sync back to Raiser's Edge NXT. See Check what CallHub campaigns sync to Raiser's Edge NXT.
Before you start
- You need your Raiser's Edge NXT login details.
- You need a CallHub account with permission to manage integrations.
- Connecting and mapping fields takes about 10 minutes.
Connect your account
- In your CallHub account, go to Integrations.
-
On the Raiser's Edge NXT tile, click Connect. Click Connect on the Raiser's Edge NXT tile.
-
Enter your Raiser's Edge NXT login details to connect your CRM with CallHub. When the connection succeeds, CallHub opens the Settings section of the integration.
Map your fields
-
In Settings, map CallHub's contact fields to the matching Raiser's Edge fields. This puts your CRM's contact data in the correct CallHub fields. Map each CallHub contact field to its Raiser's Edge field.
- Check that the Constituent ID is mapped to the custom field named RECIDXXXXXX. CallHub creates this custom field and maps the Constituent ID to it when you connect. CallHub maps the Constituent ID to the RECID custom field for you.
-
Select the checkbox for Create a new contact in CallHub. Select this checkbox so donors you do not have yet still get a contact.
How donations are matched
When a donation arrives, CallHub tries to match the donor's information to a contact by phone number. If it cannot match the phone number to an existing record, it creates a new contact.
CallHub captures this information for each donation:
- For the constituent (the donor): first and last name, phone number, and email address.
- For the gift (the donation): the amount received, the highest donation received, and the total donation received.
CallHub identifies the data by the Constituent ID and the Gift ID.
Notes & limits
⚠ A Raiser's Edge NXT donation form link can be used in only one campaign at a time. To use the same link in a different campaign, stop the campaign that already uses it first. Why: CallHub allows each donation form link in only one campaign.
ⓘ The Raiser's Edge integration (webhook) cannot tell which donation form a donation came through. CallHub adds the donation details to the most recent Text-to-Donate campaign the donor is part of. The donation still appears on the donor's contact profile as usual.
Donations are attributed to the donor's most recent Text-to-Donate campaign.
✓ Always include a Phone number field in your donation form. CallHub matches donors by phone number, so this field helps it find the right contact instead of creating a new one.
FAQs
What information does CallHub capture from Raiser's Edge NXT?
For the constituent, it captures first and last name, phone number, and email address. For the gift, it captures the amount received, the highest donation received, and the total donation received.
Why did a donor become a new contact?
CallHub matches donors by phone number. If it cannot match the number to an existing record, it creates a new contact. Include a phone number field in your donation form to avoid this.
A donation appears under the wrong campaign. Why?
The integration cannot tell which donation form a donation came through, so CallHub adds it to the most recent Text-to-Donate campaign the donor is part of. The donation still appears on the donor's contact profile.
Can I use the same donation form link in two campaigns?
Not at the same time. Stop the campaign that is using the link, then use it in the other campaign.
