A SHAKEN/STIR registration includes 3 crucial attestation levels for numbers used by your brand. Learn what they mean.
Attestation levels are flags set by the carrier to determine the level of confidence in the numbers used as Caller IDs for the calls originating from their end. Based on this, there are three levels of attestation for the SHAKEN/STIR compliance.
Level A or Full Attestation - The originating carrier identifies the Caller and knows that the Caller has the right to use the phone number as a Caller ID for the outgoing robocalls.
Level B or Partial Attestation - The originating carrier identifies the Caller but is unsure if the Caller has the right to use the phone number as the Caller ID for outgoing robocalls.
Level C or Gateway Attestation - When the carrier cannot verify the call as Level A or B, Level C is the attestation level set for the call. This is usually set for calls to international numbers.
