This article will discuss a few tips on how you can set up a script for your Text Broadcast or Peer to Peer Texting campaign to ensure high delivery rates and fewer failed messages.
1. Personalize Your Message
Sending a high number of identical messages is most likely to be filtered by the carrier. The carrier treats repeated identical messages as suspicious. When detected as Spam, the carrier will block the Sender ID used in sending the messages. In CallHub, you can personalize your messages to send unique messages by adding Tags in your message. For example: {first_name}, {last_name}, and {poll_location}. CallHub system fetches the contact’s details and custom fields from the contact list based on the tags and adds them to the message. Using this feature will make each message sent as different and unique.

2. Minimize the usage of public links (bit.ly/tiny.url)
Messages that are using hyperlinks are highly promotional, especially bit.ly or any shortened links. The carriers detect and filter messages that are highly promotional and mark these messages as “Spam.” Using any uncommon/alternative service for shortening the URL is the best to avoid getting messages filtered.

Instead, you may use CallHub's own URL shortener to shorten the links you wish to use in the script of your CallHub campaigns. You may shorten the URL while setting up the campaign and add URL tracking to find the click-through rates for your campaigns. Click on the link to know more about URL Shorteners in CallHub.
