We advise our users to follow the best practices while sending messages from SMS campaigns. However, in some cases, it appears that despite taking all the necessary measures to avoid getting filtered, the messages are not delivered.
Recently, after following the best practices, we have noticed that the users have encountered errors with the messages sent from their campaigns. Most of the errors are Error codes 30008/40008.
To ensure our users do not lose a lot of credits for failed messages, we have added a Live check in the system to flag an error whenever there are more than 25 failed messages with the above error code.
After multiple discussions, triaging, and analysis with the originating and destination carriers, we found a few steps to resolve this issue.
- Remove URLs used from the message.
- Media Files (MMS) need to be verified in the case of 10DLC campaigns.
- Carrier's limit on MMS files in the message.
